As one of 30 young female scientists Karina Jiménez-García received the L'Oréal-UNESCO fellowship "Pour let femmes et la Science". She was selected from a pool of more than 1,000 applicants and received the award for her ongoing research on the quantum behavior of ultra-cold atoms.
